We've dealt with it on DH's side of the family. Medicare will pay but not until you exhaust your assets. Every nursing home has to set aside a certain number of beds that are paid by Medicare. Medicaid is for poor under retirement age people. I sure hope she can not have to hand over the house. Keep us posted. It’s very fucked up. We’ve dealt with it on DH’s side of the family.
