I know it must be hard to believe, but Sacto christian girl was right. It’s a small, vocal minority who are the crazies. I’ve lived here all my life, and most people are quietly going about their business, raising their kids and doing the day to day stuff people do the world over. We do get more than our share of nutjobs moving to California. (unfortunately) Mostly because they think the deviant/outlandish/weirdo/criminal behavior that got them ostracized/kicked out of school/incarcerated back home will magically be ok here.

I went to college with a wholesome christian girl from Sacramento, and she used to always complain about the californians who dragged down the perception of the state as a whole. She swore there were more of her kind in the state than the weirdos. That may be true, but for someone like me who’s never been to CA and lives on the other side of the country, it’s hard to imagine she’s more the norm.

If you think the Code Pink crowd is bad, you should see wackadoo “performance artist” Sherry Glaser and her “Breasts not Bombs” posse. *Warning* If you Google it, be prepared for some really ugly boobage.

I’m a Bay Area native, and I’m sick to death of these nutjobs giving the entire place a black eye. Not everyone who lives there is crazy.

I agree, this boost the economy plan is only a band-aid. Just another reason for me to hate politics and everyone involved with politics.

Indeed. It’s bad enough we keep funding a misguided war on the backs of future generations, but to appease this generation with a few bucks to piss away during an election year is particularly egregious. And no one within the power structure seems to have any problem with things like this.

(Disclaimer: I might not be nuts about the whole stimulus plan, but I will be using my $600 to finance a trip to Boston during Memorial day weekend… just performing my assigned task to boost the economy… buying shit I don’t need with money I don’t have.)

Fuck congress for not only going with the dumb president’s dumb economic stimulus package, but giving free money to even more people using deficit funding…

They are “printing” so much money now, I have a feeling that we’ll be wiping our asses with twenties about this time next year.
