Actually not many people realize that Omega Man was itself a remake of “The Last Man on Earth” with Vincent Price. So “Legend” is a re-make of a re-make. I’m waiting for the DVD.
Actually, I think anyone who knows I Am Legend came out this week is aware that it’s the third time the book has been made into a movie. Every TV report or article/review about the latest version has mentioned it.
But it’s been so long since I saw The Omega Man I can’t even tell you what the differences are, aside from the fact that the infected don’t look like black hippie albinos and Will Smith looks nothing like Charlton Heston.
Is it just a complete remake of Omega Man or did they actually change things up a bit?
